HP Omen 15-ax250wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I turn it on, the keyboard does not always work nor does the touchpad. I have to hold power button to completely shut off and reset to get it working again. Sometimes the screen also takes unusually long to respond. Sometimes it doesn't even go from the background image to my profile with the prompt for password to go in. What is this?

Hello @AntonioV_

You mentioned you had some issues already in this thread... https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Notebooks/Laptop-seems-to-have-overheated-and-isn-t-turning-on/...

Im not sure whats going on with your PC. Is there a pattern to the blinking charger light or is it the power button light?

To help troubleshoot for any possible hardware issues, run the HP Diagnostics.

With the unit shut down and plugged in to the AC power...

Press the power button and rapidly tap F2 until the diagnostics menu appears. Windows will not be running when you do this.

Select the Extensive Tests for everything and let it run until finished. Let me know if it finds an error.

HP How to use Diagnostics

IF there are no errors found, you may have to do a factory reset. This will wipe the C drive and reinstall Windows back to its factory state. You would lose any files and programs you have installed if you do this.

My laptop has similar problem, when i use it for about an hour my keyboard and touchpad isnt working and the capslock button is blinking and the wifi adapter isnt working too, i have to make it "sleep" with external mouse then wake it up again then the keyboard and touchpad working again, but it really disturbing to always turn it off and on again especially when i have to work fast. my laptop is hp 14 and i have try everything i can think off like update driver software, reinstall operating system, run hp analytic etc. the only problem i can think is the battery because my battery is drop and i dont buy a new battery since i lack of money and need to do some work to earn it but if my laptop always like this every one hour it slows me down and it really pissed me off. please help.

I'm having this exact same issue, and I'm using a new battery.
