Today I happened to want to look up the detailed specs of my computer: OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-xf0000 (7L9B40AV). I checked HP’s official product website (I know I could check elsewhere too), but I found that the details page for my laptop has already disappeared. ðŸ˜
On this page: https://www.hp.com/cn-zh/gaming-pc/laptops.html#filters_faceted_search_id=brand-omen|screen_size-16_..., when you click on my product, the site just resets itself. Two years have passed—fine, it’s no longer for sale, but the fact that even the details page is gone makes me really sad. On mobile, the page doesn’t even allow filtering, while on desktop you can filter by screen size and CPU to quickly locate my model.
As someone who loves tinkering and feels responsible, I even thought—what if I could join HP and maintain the detail pages of older products myself, creating more user-friendly interactions? But the only promising roles I found on HP’s talent network are in Singapore, and I haven’t graduated yet so I can’t go there. The positions in China are mostly customer sales and such.
So is this normal? Why would the product page for my model be deleted? Doesn’t it deserve to have its own home, even if it’s already two years old and its specs are outdated?

There is a user guides page for the model series at the link below:
The service manuals are only in English which is why I didn't change the site language to Chinese.
OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-xf0000 (7L9B40AV) - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support
The 7L9B40AV product number you posted is the general product number that covers many different individual 16-xf0000 notebook PC's.
You can probably find the parts HP installed in your notebook when you have the product number for your specific model which you can find by doing this:
Type: System Information in the Windows search bar/icon.
The System information app should show up.
Run the app and the product number of your PC will be found on the System SKU line about 1/4 of the way down on the report.
Enter that product number in the search window at the link below, and it will provide the parts list for your notebook which should include all of the major components.
While I share your frustration with specs pages disappearing and whatnot, since this is a peer to peer forum and we don't work for or represent HP, no one here will be able to answer as to why HP does what they do.
Just wait...after 10 years your entire notebook's support page will be taken down, and you won't be able to find any drivers for it from HP after that time.
I can still find drivers for Dell PC's on their support site that are 30 years old.
