Product: hp OMEN 15 2021
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

My cpu temperature is going above 90 degrees in normal idle conditions. I was simply scrolling some videos in youtube and suddenly i heard the noise of fans getting ON. Is this normal as I brought the laptop just afew days ago.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800h
GPU: nvidia rtx 3060

90C or 90F ?

 

Was your system on a solid desktop surface? Depending on your setup, the fans will kick on as they need to or you can also manually control them on some systems. For reference, I have the HP Omen 2019 model with Intel Core i7-9750H, GTX 1660 and at idle (browsing web and such) my temps are 47C / 41C. Gaming they crank up to high 70C, which is normal.
