Hi @kaleabhinav08,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop's fan is making a weird noise whenever you try to do some task on it, it's likely that the fan is working harder than it should be, which could be due to one or more of the following reasons.

  • Dust build-up: Dust build-up inside your laptop's fan can cause it to work harder than it should, resulting in a loud noise. You can try cleaning the fan and the surrounding area using a can of compressed air or a soft brush to see if this resolves the issue.
  • Overheating: Overheating can also cause the fan to work harder than it should. Ensure that your laptop is placed on a flat surface that allows for proper air circulation. You can also use a laptop cooling pad to keep your laptop cool.
  • Malfunctioning fan: If the fan is still making a loud noise even after cleaning and ensuring proper airflow, it could be a sign of a malfunctioning fan. In this case, you should contact HP support or a qualified technician to have the fan replaced.
  • High CPU usage: Sometimes, a loud fan noise can be due to high CPU usage, which is common when running demanding applications. You can check your task manager to see if there are any processes that are using up a lot of CPU resources and close them if necessary.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
