Hi @PXblaZe,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your Victus by HP 16.1 Inch Gaming Laptop is not powering on properly, but the power indicator light briefly turns on, there may be a few potential causes for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check the power source: Ensure that your laptop is connected to a functional power outlet or that the battery is adequately charged. Try connecting the laptop directly to a power outlet without using any surge protectors or extension cords.
  • Reset the power supply: Unplug the power adapter from the laptop and the wall socket. Remove the battery if it's removable. Hold down the laptop's power button for about 30 seconds to drain any residual power. Then, reconnect the power adapter (without the battery) and try turning on the laptop.
  • Inspect the power adapter: Examine the power adapter for any signs of damage, such as frayed cables or a loose connection. If you suspect a faulty adapter, try using a different one with the same voltage and wattage specifications.
  • Check the RAM and storage: Sometimes, faulty RAM or storage devices can prevent a laptop from booting. Remove and reseat the RAM modules and any storage drives (such as the hard drive or SSD) in your laptop. Make sure they are properly connected and secured in their slots.
  • External devices and peripherals: Disconnect all external devices and peripherals, such as USB drives, external monitors, and printers. Sometimes, a faulty external device can cause issues with the laptop's power-up process.
  • Test with minimal hardware: If possible, remove any unnecessary hardware components such as additional RAM modules or expansion cards. Try booting the laptop with only the essential components connected, such as the CPU, one RAM module, and the primary storage drive.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
