Hi @NareKumNara,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your new HP Victus isn’t waking up from sleep even after updating BIOS and graphics drivers. Let’s go through some steps to troubleshoot this.

Check Power Settings

Open Settings → System → Power & Battery → Additional power settings → Change plan settings → Change advanced power settings.

Expand Sleep → Allow wake timers, and set to Enable.

Expand USB settings → USB selective suspend setting, and set to Disabled.

Check Device Wake Permissions

Open Device Manager → Keyboards / Mice and other pointing devices → Right-click → Properties → Power Management.

Make sure “Allow this device to wake the computer” is checked.

Do the same for Network Adapters if you want Wake-on-LAN.

Disable Fast Startup

Open Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what the power buttons do → Change settings that are currently unavailable.

Uncheck Turn on fast startup and save changes.

Reboot and test sleep/wake behavior.

Update Chipset / Intel Management Engine Drivers

Go to HP’s support page for your Victus model.

Download and install the latest Chipset / Intel Management Engine / Intel Serial IO drivers.

These often control low-level power states that affect sleep/wake.

Try Sleep with Lid / Keyboard / Power Button

Close the lid and try opening it to wake.

Press the power button briefly to see if the system responds.

If the laptop only wakes via power button, it may be a sensor or driver issue.

Check for BIOS Sleep Settings

Enter BIOS (press F10 at boot).

Look for Sleep / Wake on LAN / Power settings, ensure Wake on Keyboard / Wake on Mouse are enabled.

Save changes and exit BIOS.

Test in Clean Boot Mode

Press Win + R → msconfig → Services tab → Hide all Microsoft services → Disable all → Apply.

Restart and test sleep/wake.

This rules out third-party software conflicts.

I hope this helps.
