Hi @Bathandwa,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I completely understand how frustrating it feels when something as simple as uninstalling an app turns into a permission problem, especially on a family computer where you need to keep things safe and tidy.

Here’s a clear, step-by-step guide you can follow to safely uninstall that app on your HP PC:

  1. Check if You’re Logged in as Administrator:
    • Click the Start menu.
    • Type Control Panel and open it.
    • Go to User AccountsUser Accounts again.
    • Look under your name — if it says Administrator, you’re good.
If not, you’ll need the administrator login.

  2. Uninstall via Settings (if you're an admin):
    • Click the Start menuSettings (⚙️ icon).
    • Select AppsInstalled apps (or "Apps & Features").
    • Scroll down to find the app.
    • Click the three dots (⋮) next to it and select Uninstall.
    • Confirm when prompted.

  3. If It Still Asks for an Administrator Password:
    • Right-click the app’s uninstaller (if it has one in its Start menu folder or Program Files).
    • Select Run as administrator.
    • Enter the administrator password if required.

  4. Using Control Panel (Legacy method):
    • Go to Control PanelProgramsPrograms and Features.
    • Find the app, click it, and choose Uninstall.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
