Need to find out how to access the Compatibility Support Module (CSM) in order to access SSD Partitions to delete old files.
I had some issues with my laptop between 12/20/2022 and 12/23/2022. The easiest solution was to reinstall Windows via a Bootable USB. Upon doing so, I noticed I only had ~28GB of storage available when my SSD is supposed to have 500GB (or possibly 1TB, it’s been a while since I first got it), even though I selected to wipe all of its data.
I got into contact with someone from the Microsoft Community (Independent Advisor so I don’t think they are directly affiliated with Microsoft) who helped direct me to reinstall Windows on a different partition of my SSD (as they said my current partition is an Intel Optane drive (or something similar)) with very low storage built in. After I informed them that my SSD only has 3 partitions and none of them are large enough (1 of them is also a different format and the other is reserved), they guided me to permanently disable CSM and temporarily disable Secure Boot. I was able to locate Secure Boot but I am unable to find CSM (as it seems Omen BIOS lacks a lot of things).
Unable to contact HP Support directly due to expired warranty and really can’t afford a warranty right now just to fix the issue.
If there are alternate ways to deep clean the SSD apart from choosing a different partition, I’m open to those too.
