Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is really a repeat of other HP Omen 15 users who reported the same issue with no support or assistance from HP.

Once HP Omen goes to sleep with displayport monitor connected the laptop wakes up with no network whatsoever. It doesn’t even show Ethernet or Wifi and restarting doesn’t help- only a complete shutdown and startup. I am beyond irritated with this. This is my first HP gaming laptop ad definitely my last. I also have issues with the AMD graphic driver which randomly crashes. Once it crashes you cannot play any games although it is using the Nvidia graphics and it also doesn’t allow you from using Oculus link.

I even install HPE servers for my employer. I would have thought the higher end gaming PC users would have been valued more…

Hi@Ddtza,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing sleep mode issues with the HP Omen Notebook. I apologize for the Inconvenience.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Click on this link for more settings https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_3046046-2885219-16
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • On the left side of the window, click Choose what the power buttons do. At the bottom of the window is a Shutdown settings section. In this section, there is an option labeled Turn on fast startup (recommended) (the option is missing?). To turn on fast startup, check the box next to this option.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
