My GPU(NVIDIA 3060) is overheating very quickly to 82 degrees for 2 min when I play a game while plugged-in with the charger, then within 15 seconds the game starts crashing because the laptop starts using only the iGPU and then the same thing happens. This does not happen when I play without a charger, because then the iGPU is used very often and somehow they share the duties and do not heat up.

OS:WIN 11

Room temperature: 21/23C

The Hardware Acceleration option is turned-off.

Nvidia drivers, Intel Drivers, Bios drivers are up to date.

Could you please provide me with a solution for the problem ?

Hi @Steliyannn,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing an overheating issue with your Laptop that is overheating.

Please follow the below steps to fix the issue.

A) Update the BIOS for your PC by clicking on the link.

Make sure you keep only the charger plugged in while updating the BIOS for your PC.

Click on the + sign next to BIOS and then download the file.

Open the file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

B) Install all the pending updates for the Windows operating system following the below steps.

go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and select Check for updates. If the upgrade is available for your device and you want to proceed, download and install it.

C) If the issue still persists, refer to the steps on this link to further troubleshoot and let me know if that resolves the issue.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
