My headhpones will not work on brand new HP Omen. I already bought this laptop once before (and then spilled an entire drink on) and my headphones worked on that laptop. They do not work on this brand new one. I've uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the sound driver from the HP website. Still does not work. I've used a variety of headsets, regular ones, gaming ones (with a usb attachment) etc and none work.
Sound does not continue to come out of the laptop when headphones are plugged in.
Any Help Would Be Great.

I have the exact same problem on my brand new Omen HP Laptop running Windows 10 64bit. Bought less than a week ago, the onboard speakers will play just fine, and the headphones or external speaker plugged into the 3.5mm jack in the back will only work until the laptop goes to sleep. After the laptop is woken up from sleep (be it from 10 minutes idle, or manually put into sleep mood by closing the laptop lid) - any headphones or speakers connected to the laptop will stop working until the laptop is restarted.
I've spoken to HP assistance about the issue and they uninstalled and reinstalled the realtek sound driver the laptop comes with by default - a day later its still doing the same thing.
I don't have any advice or solution for the problem but just putting it out there that you're not alone with this issue.
