OUTPUT SOUND ERROR- SOUND FROM MY LAPTOP ONLY COMING FROM THE LAPTOP ITSELF NOT FROM AN EXTERNAL MONITOR OR BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES EVEN WHEN THEY ARE SELECTED
AND UNABLE TO PERFORM TEST TONE
THE MESSAGE FROM HP DIAGNOSTICS SUGGESTS A POTENTIAL DISC FAILURE ?
I recently performed a BIOS update via Windows 11 Optional updates for my laptop and now the only output sound is from the laptop itself despite selecting either high definition TV output or bluetooth headphones which both appear to be working correctly.
(BY ALL ACCOUNTS DEVICES ARE WORKING CORRECTLY BUT I SUSPECT A RECENT BIOS UPDATE FROM HP MAY BE THE CAUSE - HOW DO I CHECK IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE BIOS DRIVER UPDATE?)
