I have Mediatek MT7922 RZ616 Adapter. Whenever i power on my laptop, it cant connect to wifi. I cant even connect to my mobile hotspot at that period of time.
And when I switch off the router and laptop both for a minute and turn them on, then my laptop can connect to wifi.
I have tried uninstalling , disabling and enabling network adapter, network reset. I have also installed the latest drivers from hp website. have also allowed all windows update.

@sid9856, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It seems like your laptop is having trouble establishing a connection to Wi-Fi on startup, but it works after you restart the router and laptop. Since you’ve already tried a few common troubleshooting steps like updating drivers and network reset, let’s try a few more things.
Here are some detailed troubleshooting steps you can follow:
Check Power Management Settings (Disable Power Saving for Wi-Fi Adapter)
HP laptops sometimes have a power-saving setting that can disable the Wi-Fi adapter on startup. This may be causing your issue.
Right-click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
Expand the Network adapters section and locate your Mediatek MT7922 RZ616 Adapter.
Right-click on it and select Properties.
Go to the Power Management tab.
Uncheck the option: "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
Click OK to save the settings and restart your laptop.
This will prevent Windows from turning off your Wi-Fi adapter to save power, which might be causing connection issues on startup.
Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers
Go to the HP Support page.
Enter your laptop’s model number and check for BIOS and Chipset updates.
Download and install any updates that are available.
Restart your laptop after the update and check if the Wi-Fi issue persists.
Disable Fast Startup in Windows 10/11
Press Win + X and select Power Options.
Click on Additional power settings (on the right side).
Select Choose what the power buttons do on the left.
Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
Scroll down to Shutdown settings and uncheck Turn on fast startup (recommended).
Save the changes and restart your laptop.
Use HP Network Diagnostics
Press F2 during startup (before Windows boots) to access the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
Select Component Tests and then choose Network or Wireless tests.
Follow the on-screen instructions to run a full network diagnostics test. If there’s any issue with the network card or drivers, the diagnostic tool should provide feedback or solutions.
Uninstall and Reinstall Network Drivers via HP Support Assistant
Download and install HP Support Assistant if you haven’t already.
Open the app and go to the Updates tab.
Check for any available updates for your network adapter or drivers and install them.
Restart your laptop and check if the issue resolves.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello,
You can try these quick fixes:
Disable power saving:
Device Manager → Network Adapters → MT7922 → Properties → Power Management → Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device”.
Turn off Fast Startup:
Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what power buttons do → Uncheck “Turn on fast startup”.
Update driver manually:
Get latest MT7922 driver from station-drivers.com or MediaTek site, not just HP.
Update BIOS from HP’s support page. MyGreatLakes
Best Regard,
