Product: Omen 15
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Looking at the WD Black D50 dock, it does not deliver enough power for the laptop.  Would it be safe to also connect the AC power supply?  I'm using an Omen ek015xxx.

 

I like the looks of the WD dock, but if anyone can recommend a cheaper thunderbolt 3 dock that would be nice also.

all  OMEN notebook do not support USB-C Power Delivery charging for notebook。

need use Ac Power Adapter。

Do I need to find a dock that is not powered? I was looking at Thunderbolt 3 docks.

Under normal circumstances, using a docking station with USB-C Power Delivery will not damage the OMEN 15-ek series laptop.
I have been using the HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 and OMEN 17-cb series, although I need to use two 230W power supplies, but the overall function can be achieved normally.
