OMEN by HP Laptop 15-ce0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good day! i recently bought a OMEN by HP Laptop 15-ce0xx. i then tried to change my keyboard's lighting set up via the omen command center but was unable to do so because the option is missing (see first photo). i tried updating it but was i prompted that i already have the latest verison (1.3.124) (see second photo). i then tried manually installing updates via the HP website, but still no improvement (see third photo). the only way i can change the lighting set up is by  pressing "FN + F4"

OK thanks for the screen shot. Your Omen 15-ce006ne  only has a red lit keyboard as per the specs page for it.

Full-size island-style backlit keyboard with numeric keypad.

So the lighting function wont appear in your Omen Command Center.

You can only turn the lighting on and off via the Fn+F4 key as you pointed out earlier.

Hope that helps answer your question.

Your machine may NOT have that feature, how many colors on keyboard now ? 4 or only 2 ? If only 2 that means your machine does not support this function. The following image shows machine which has that function

The Omen 15-ce0xx series does not have RGB keyboards, so no option for it will show in the Omen Command Center.

The new Omen 15-1xx series does however.

You need to tell us the specific product number of your laptop. Its located in the HP Support Assistant.

Go to Start> H> HP and navigate to the HP Support Assistant and open it.

Then we can look up what it has.

Also it looks like you dont have the latest OCC update.

You cannot get it from the HP drivers page. You must download it from the Microsoft Store.

Here is the link to that.

It will also want to update the bios and another driver. If so, its ok to let it do that.

Get OMEN Command Center - Microsoft Store

@photoray002 thx for the help but could you specify wich is the best model to get in order to get full lighting options .

@boch_chit all depends on whats available in your area.

When you find a model number, you can look it up yourself.

Use this link to find and enter the model or product number...

Search

Go to Product information and then in Select a topic, click the drop down.

Choose product specifications.

Click on the model number.

Scroll down to Keyboard and read its specs. If it says 4 zone rgb, it has changeable LED lighting.
