Why do I not have the different performance and overclocking settings etc.? Updated BIOS to latest, uninstalled Omen Command Center and reinstalled the latest Omen Gaming Hub vi Microsoft Store. No additional settings occured by doing so. I have the i7-7700HQ with GTX 1060, laptop is from the middle of 2018.

I believe HP removed some options on older machines. Omen Gaming Hub will check your hardware and only gives a list of options currently supported. As you can see my machine which is old but newer than yours has more options than yours

Thank you for the input. That is probably the case, question really is why?
is there any HP representative who can confirm this and explain why my machine wouldn't benefit from having different performance settings (nevermind the overclocking etc.)? As it is now, I'm adjusting the turbo boost setting from Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to lower the temperatures and stop the noise from the fans. But I would rather lower the setting by the click of a button in Omen Gaming Hub / OCC instead.
Interesting temperatures on your machine, mine never drops below 50-55 even with lowered settings in Intel software. With original settings it idles between 60-80. I've never been gaming on this, so I haven´t pushed it. It's really horrible numbers but from what I've read, HP doesn´t take any responsibility for it? Or has anyone successfully had their complaint on this issue adressed under warranty?
