Hi. I bought my laptop 2 months ago but since last 1-2 weeks I noticed an error sign on omen gaming hub. When i go to performance mode , it shows little yellow warning sign and when i click it says "WARNING
System performance has been temporarily limited due to high temperature. Performance will be automatically adjusted back once heat level has been reduced."
Warning directly goes when I switch to balanced mode but on performance mode software keeps showing me this even if cpu and gpu temps are around 50-60 degree (celcius). I tried to uninstall-restart-install but nothing changed and my all softwares and drivers are up to date. I hope someone can help me.

Hi @VIVERA2,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
It sounds like there might be an issue with how the OMEN Gaming Hub is detecting and responding to your system temperatures. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:
1. Check for Background Processes:
- Ensure that no other demanding applications are running in the background that might be contributing to higher temperatures or resource usage.
2. Update BIOS:
- Sometimes BIOS updates can improve hardware compatibility and performance. Check the HP support website for any available BIOS updates for your OMEN laptop.
3. Monitor Temperatures with Third-Party Software:
- Use third-party software like HWMonitor, MSI Afterburner, or Core Temp to monitor your CPU and GPU temperatures and ensure they are indeed within normal ranges.
4. Reset OMEN Gaming Hub Settings:
- Try resetting the OMEN Gaming Hub settings to default. There might be a configuration issue causing the warning.
- Open OMEN Gaming Hub.
- Go to the settings menu and look for an option to reset to default settings.
5. Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub:
- Fully uninstall the OMEN Gaming Hub.
- Restart your laptop.
- Download the latest version from the HP website and reinstall it.
6. Check Windows Power Settings:
- Ensure that your Windows power plan settings are not conflicting with the OMEN Gaming Hub performance settings.
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
- Select High Performance or Balanced.
- Adjust the advanced power settings to ensure that maximum performance is set for both CPU and GPU.
7. Run Hardware Diagnostics:
- Use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool to run a full hardware diagnostic to ensure there are no underlying hardware issues.
- Restart your laptop and press F2 repeatedly until the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI menu appears.
- Run the system tests, especially the thermal test.
If you already performed all the steps mentioned above and still having issues, I recommend you contact phone support.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
