HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2009ne (499F4EA)

Hello,

I'm encountering an issue with Omen Gaming Hub on my HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2009ne. The 'Power Control' or 'Performance Mode' settings are not visible in the application. While Omen Gaming Hub correctly identifies my device as a 'Pavilion Gaming 15', it appears to be missing this key feature.

My system is running Windows 11 24H2.

Troubleshooting steps I have already taken:

1. Reinstalled Omen Gaming Hub multiple times from the Microsoft Store.
2. Ensured all drivers are up to date using HP Support Assistant.
3. Confirmed that the BIOS firmware is on the latest version (F.30).
4. Ran the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool, which showed no issues.

I am seeking assistance to determine if this is a known compatibility issue with this specific model or if there is a solution I may have overlooked.

Thank you for your help.

Hi @wasim0,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. Based on your model (HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2009ne) and the steps you've already taken, it looks like the 'Power Control' or 'Performance Mode' settings are missing in Omen Gaming Hub, even though the app recognizes the device.

Why This Happens

  1. Pavilion Gaming laptops, unlike OMEN-branded devices, do not always support advanced performance tuning features in Omen Gaming Hub.
  2. These features are hardware-dependent and may be disabled or hidden if the system firmware or embedded controller doesn’t support them.
  3. Even with the latest BIOS (F.30), HP has not enabled these features for all Pavilion models, especially those without OMEN Tempest cooling or OMEN Dynamic Power.

What You Can Try:

1. Run Omen Gaming Hub as Administrator

  • Right-click the Omen Gaming Hub shortcut > Properties > Compatibility tab.
  • Check “Run this program as an administrator” > Apply > OK.
  • Launch the app and check if the missing features appear

2. Enable Game Mode in Windows

  • Go to Settings > Gaming > Game Mode.
  • Toggle Game Mode ON.
  • Restart Omen Gaming Hub.

3. Check for Optional HP Software

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
