Product: OMEN 15
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I ordered a customized HP OMEN 15 laptop on January 2rd. Four days later (Jan 6) the process has started and the order status showed that HP is gathering components (of the device). It’s January 28th today, the day it should have been or was “estimated” to be delivered. I received an email saying that it’s taking longer than expected and the revised delivery date is now March 3rd.
My issue is, apart from the bothersome unexpected one month delay, is that why has the status not been updated from Jan 6th until now? Are they still gathering components?
Should I be expecting another delay?

Sorry to hear about the delays. We cant speak for HP directly as this forum is a separate entity from Sales. But I do know that almost everyone is experiencing delays on orders from HP depending on what they ordered. Custom builds especially.
Unfortunately there is no way to predict what will happen by March. Customs have always taken longer than expected to begin with. Now with the silicone chip shortages, I would have no idea. Its affecting other MFGs also, even Ford Motor Company.
Sorry I cannot be of more help on that subject.
