I currently own my HP Laptop (17-cb0016nq) with a storage configuration of SSD 512GB and HDD 1TB. I am aware that there is a second internal ssd slot available, can I add another one?

If you have already seen that the second M.2 SSD slot is there as shown in chapter 5 page 32 of the service manual, you can install a second M.2 NVMe SSD.

I'm concerned that if you have not opened the notebook, there is no second NVMe SSD slot.

 

The circuitry may not be there as indicated in the first post in this discussion:

 

'This laptop has another SSD drive, but I'd need to get a tech shop to solder in the connection first,'

 

And I don't think you can just 'solder in' a M.2 slot.
