Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey Guys,

I am trying to connect my laptop with dual monitor setup using Ugreen 4k USB c to HDMI cable(https://www.amazon.ae/UGREEN-Thunderbolt-Converter-Compatible-900-2Meter/dp/B07NF26GJP/ref=sr_1_5?dc...)  . I am able to use it in the extended setup but the screen goes blank randomly and comes back in few seconds. I use it for trading purposes and it is quite annoying to see the screen going blank randomly.

I have already installed all the latest windows and driver updates. Even updated the BIOS.

What is your Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx  ? It probably has same ports as the following machine:

                HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0140tx

which shows it has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s); 3 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only) port which does not support Alt mode nor Power Delivery therefore you can not use it

  • To connect to a monitor (with / without dock)
  • To charge your machine using USB-C charger.

Regards.

Hi,

As I have said that I am able to get the display, the only issue is it goes blank for a second and comes back so certainly USB C supports Alt mode.
