Questions/issue with screen

Hi all, just got this computer the other day and have a couple of questions. I seem to only have the option to either display at 60HZ and 300HZ, is there any way I can adjust to just display at 140/240HZ etc. instead? especially when on battery, I don't think I need to dedicate so much energy towards such a high refresh rate. 

I also am having this issue with the brightness or hue/saturation going way down when I run some specific applications, like I'll literally watch the screen change as I alt tab between these apps. I have the brightness fixed, I do not see any way to change these settings on the apps specifically, could anyone point me in the right direction?

Finally, I would like to work to optimize the battery as much as I can, does anyone have a comprehensive 3rd party application that can do things like turn on the fans at specific CPU temperatures, reduce HZ when using battery only, and so on? I don't seem to have those kinds of controls in advanced battery settings.

I am also looking to undervolt the CPU, with the intel Extreme Tuning Utility, it seems the core voltage and the core voltage offset are greyed out. Am I not able to undervolt with this system?

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

   

2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

   

3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

There are no HP Apps that are specific for optimizing the Battery. You can use 3rd party Apps but HP cannot guarantee the functionality or performance of those Apps

You will not be able to undervolt the CPU. HP Pc’s uses a customized BIOS setting (Tattooed BIOS) of which some features including overclocking and increasing the VRAM are locked.
