Hi,

I would like to set up a bios-level RAID1 on my HP Omen Max 16-AH0999NW, but when I enter the UEFI configuration, it does not show anything remotely connected with such option. Is there any other hidden BIOS entry to get access to such configuration?

Hi @olechafm,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for your question. This is a common limitation with HP OMEN laptops like your Max 16-AH0999NW.

Why You Can't See RAID Options in BIOS

HP OMEN laptops typically do not expose RAID configuration options in the standard UEFI BIOS interface. Unlike HP Z-series workstations or business-class desktops, OMEN systems are designed for gaming and consumer use and often lack advanced storage configuration menus like Intel RST RAID setup.

 What You Can Try

1. Check for Hidden BIOS Settings

Some users have reported success accessing hidden BIOS features by:

  • Pressing Esc → then F10 to enter BIOS.
  • Navigate to the Advanced tab (if available).
  • Looking for Intel Rapid Storage Technology or SATA Mode settings.
    • If you see AHCIRAID, or RST, switch to RAID.

⚠️ If these options are missing, your BIOS may be locked down by HP and not support RAID at all.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
