  Hello, I have a question about upgrading RAM on my HP Omen 17-AN012DX, I would like to have the most RAM possible and am not sure what would be compatible and how many slots the laptop has. Thanks.

In the manual - page 1, it states...

Two SODIMM slots:

●DDR4-2666 dual channel supportSupports up to 32 GB max system memory with the following:

●32768 MB (16384 MB × 2)

●16384 MB (8192 MB × 2)

●12288 MB (8192 MB +4096 MB)

●8192 MB (4096 MB × 2) or 8192 MB (8192 MB × 1)

Its best to buy a matched set if replacing both sticks, to ensure dual memory support.

You can use a tool like cpuz or speccy to look at the timings of the existing memory installed.

 

Alternatively, you could look into Crucial memory finder. They guarantee their memory to work.
