RTX 2080 Max-Q

Just wondering why the RTX 2080 Max-Q was not an option when I custom built my 17” laptop through HP. I could only max it out to the RTX 2080. I noticed it’s available for the 15” Omen laptops.

@Siddric , welcome to the forum.

As you will see in my Signature, I am not an HP employee.  So, my answer may not be the exact reason.  However, HP has different price points with their products.  Each one has a different configuration.  Some of them add specific components to add more value for the buyer.  Your laptop may have had a different upgrade than the Max-Q.  It may have been the specific upgrade for the 15" models.  The 17" models are somewhat higher in price than the 15" models already, because of the extra material required.  If each model had all of the upgrades the price would have to be much, much, higher.  I hope that makes sense to you.
