Product: OMEN by HP - 15-dc0020nr
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I’m upgrading the RAM on my HP Omen 15 - dc0020nr laptop. It originally had 8 GB in slot 1 and 4 GB in slot 2. I want to upgrade both slots to 16 GB.
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
- I installed the new 16 GB RAM stick in slot 2 (replacing the 4 GB stick), and the laptop recognizes it and works perfectly.
- However, when I replace the 8 GB stick from slot 1 with either the new 16 GB stick or the old 4 GB stick, the laptop fails to boot up.
- When this happens, the CAPSLOCK blinks in a pattern (3 slow blinks, followed by 2 fast blinks). There is no other error message.
I haven’t made any recent software or driver changes, and I haven’t adjusted the BIOS settings. The laptop is using a wireless connection.
I’d appreciate any guidance on resolving this!
