Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I own a HP Victus 15 Nvidia 1650 and I noticed after taking it apart to clean it and see what I can upgrade that it comes with a second slot for another stick of RAM.

 

i have heard buying a matching ram stick (identical to the one already inside [currently 8gb of ram, so I would buy another 8gb one that is the stock one for my Victus]) enables dual channel performance and it would run better than say e.g a 8gb and different spec 12gb stick. 

Where can I buy another stick which is the same as the one currently inside? Are there any stores in Canberra (such as Harvey Norman or something) that I can buy from, or is it better to order from HP’s website.
