I've just noticed something similar on my Omen laptop, a 15-ax236tx,
A quite significant bend in the base. My laptop has led a very sheltered life, it has spent most of it's life on a desk, definitely never been dropped.
I find this quite concerning for such a high end product.
I have contacted HP support, but not heard anything back.

@Beaker25 judging from the photo, it looks more like its bulging from the left side of where the finger pad is. Is that correct?
A bulge would indicate that the battery has swollen and is failing. It would have to be removed or replaced.
If this is correct, do not use the laptop until the battery is at least removed. Its OK to use it plugged into the AC power cord to continue working with if no battery is installed.
If you are out of warranty now, and Im guessing you are, there will be nothing Support will be able to do for it.
HP Does not sell those batteries either. You would have to look for a 3rd party seller online for one.

Good luck. My Pavilion warped like a bad movie. HP sent me a new battery but it's not customer installable. Best Buy Geek squad wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, they were afraid what they'd find when they pried it apart. BioHazards-'r'Us would charge about $200. Mine was/is out of warranty. I can get about 30% charge and that's it, so it's mostly plugged in. I'm so disappointed in HP that it is simply difficult to articulate.

I agree the W and AX series are not easy to get into if you never done that sort of thing before. A real pain in the rear. But I was still able to get into mine. Those batteries are removeable once you get inside. They are not hard soldered to the board.
