We sent our HP Gaming Pavilion 15 in for repair and received it back with HP now as administrator on it. We were never given a password and cannot seem to contact anyone to figure it out. Tried to do a factory reset and it requires the admin password. What are we missing or what can we do?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to log in to your user account and only the administrator account is displayed on the log-in screen.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend click on the switch user option and you should be able to log in to your account. You can use your Microsoft account email address and password to log in.
In case if you are unable to login, then you can follow the steps in the below article to perform a recovery on the computer.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
