HP OMEN 17"
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Im currently deployed to Japan with my beloved PC. Recently the backlight or the screan or something has been malfunctioning. Basically when I turn my laptop on you can see he light turns on. But there is no picture. I have the 120hz version.

My manufactures warranty has been expired for several months, this laptop was very expensive, and Id like to repair it. What can I do to get the ball rolling? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hey there! @Southwell, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand the PC is out of warranty and you would like to know if you can get the laptop repaired.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

As the product was purchased in a different country and you are presently in a different country.

You have to purchase a global warranty on the product to get the support.

HP Global Warranty covers HP products at the level of standard warranty offered in the country in which it is used. For example, a product purchased in country "A" and moved to country "B" receives the current warranty coverage provided by country "B" (if that product is marketed or supported in country B).

Note: If a similar model of laptop is sold or manufactured in the present country. You will get the service options for your laptop.

Refer this article to know more information about global warranty coverage. Click Here

Also, I would be sharing you a few details about the service options for your laptop through a private message.

Hope this answers your query!
