My product is hp pavilion gaming 15 ec0101ax ryzen 5 3550h variant, the main issue is that it reserves 2gb for vega graphics which gives a usable ram of 5.96 gb. This makes demanding or even esports titles stutters and gives performance drops. many brands like asus fixed this issue from their laptops like fx505dt (same configuration) in that model the games run smoothly, but my laptop gives micro stutters on games like apex, GTA V, Shadow of the tomb raider etc. Is there any fix will hp provide other than upgrading my ram?

Hi:
Your notebook was designed that way on purpose.
HP released this document a while back, which explains the memory shortage...

This seems to only apply to some models with the AMD Ryzen processors.
Info on Microsoft PlayReady.

The only workaround would be to install additional memory.

Thanks for the reply, My issue is that desktops and asus laptops have workarounds for this and fixed this. Why hp locking the bios? Or give a fix like other companies. 5.86 gb ram for a gaming laptop makes the word gaming useless.
