Hello @all:
I am using a HP Omen 16-wd0275ng and i tried to upgrade the 512 GB M2-SSD to a 2 TB Samsung 990.
So I removed the battery, changed the SSD and then reconnected the Battery.
After Power-On Screen won´t turn on, Fans running for 3 Seconds, and then nothing.
So same procedure, but replacing new ssd with the old one.
->same behavior. ...after Power-On Screen won´t turn on, Fans running for 3 Seconds, and then nothing.
So I pressed several times long and short the powerbutton, and after countless tries (I think around 5 Minutes the Screen turned on, I got a CMOS-Checksum-Error, and then the laptop was running normal.
So I replaced again the SSD with the new one...same behavior. ...after Power-On Screen won´t turn on, Fans running for 3 Seconds, and then nothing. I tried over 10 Minutes the Power on/off Method without luck.
->next step, reinstalling the original SSD again.
->same behavior. ...after Power-On Screen won´t turn on, Fans running for 3 Seconds, and then nothing.
So I pressed several times long and short the powerbutton, and after countless tries again the checksumerror and then the laptop was running fine again.
Whats wrong? Is there a special routine an a Win 11 machine to replace the ssd with all this security-Stuff inside or did I anything else wrong?

Sometimes waiting is enough. 12 Minutes after Power on the Screen also was powering on with the new SSD. Once Again I got the Checksumerror and one (very fast) reboot later everything is running as expected.

Put the old one back and it won't work. Did you earth yourself properly when removing part(s) inside your machine ? It is very importance to use something like the following tool when inside a cold area to work on electronic parts.

Of course, yes. I am complely equiped with all the electrostatic stuff.
Laptop is still working with the old SSD after several Times Power-off/on.
New Samsung Gen4. NVME SSD 990pro is still working in my external case.
So nothing is brocken.
I only don´t understand why I have so much trouble to power-on the system again after swapping the ssd´s and why I cannot make the new samsung ssd able to work.
