On Page 30 is a list of compatible M.2, SSD's, and instructions for removing and installing them. You can use up to a 2 TB, M.2 - up to 4 TB with proper preparation: https://www.diskpart.com/articles/windows-10-4tb-hard-drive-3889.html
Here is the 1 TB M.2 listed in the Guide on HP Partsurfer: https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=L72515-001
