Hi, my laptop screen flickers sometimes and some lines are coming from the task bar and the lines are increasing day-by-day. I have one concern as to is it due to windows update as it is updated to windows 11 23H2 but the hp drivers are available only for 21H1? Please help me with this.

Hi @DebashreeS

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1000 experiencing screen flickering and increasing lines could be due to driver incompatibility with Windows 11 23H2, especially since HP’s official drivers are only available for 21H1

Here’s how to troubleshoot:

Update Graphics Drivers

  • Open Device Manager (Win + X → Device Manager).
  • Expand Display Adapters, right-click your GPU, and select Update driverSearch automatically.
  • If issues persist, download the latest NVIDIA/AMD drivers directly from their official website.

Adjust Refresh Rate Settings

  • Go to SettingsSystemDisplayAdvanced Display Settings.
  • Ensure the refresh rate matches your laptop’s specifications (usually 144Hz or 165Hz for gaming models).

Check HP Support Forums for Similar Issues

  • Users have discussed this problem and possible solutions here.

Run HP’s Display Troubleshooter

  • Visit HP’s official troubleshooting guide for screen flickering issues here.

Since your laptop’s drivers are only officially supported for 21H1, the Windows 11 23H2 update may be causing compatibility issues.

Try these steps and let me know if you need further assistance! 🚀
