Hi @yesimflower,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Omen 16 Gaming Laptop is asking you to enable Secure Boot, and you’re unsure how to do it without causing issues. Let’s go through the steps carefully to enable Secure Boot so you can play games like Valorant and Battlefield smoothly.

1. Access BIOS/UEFI

Shut down your laptop completely.

Power it on and immediately start pressing the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.

From there, press F10 to open the BIOS Setup Utility.

2. Check Boot Mode

In BIOS, use the arrow keys to navigate to the Boot tab.

Confirm that your system is set to UEFI mode (not Legacy).

If it’s on Legacy, switch to UEFI.

Save changes and restart once if prompted, then re-enter BIOS.

3. Enable Secure Boot

Go to the Security or Boot Configuration tab (location may vary).

Look for Secure Boot.

Change the option from Disabled to Enabled.

4. Save Changes

Press F10 to save and exit BIOS.

Your laptop will restart normally into Windows.

5. Verify Secure Boot in Windows

Press Windows Key + R, type msinfo32, and hit Enter.

In the System Information window, check for Secure Boot State → it should now show On.

I hope this helps.
