OMEN Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased an Omen notebook in October.  I keep getting the Smart AC apdapter attached to this computer is not sufficient to provide best performance for the computer.  Why isn't the battery supplied with the custom made computer the correct power for the computer purchased?  Do I now need to purchase another battery so my computer performs at the rate it should?

mpm67,

The message you are getting is from the AC adapter checking software. Are you using the original supplied AC adapter for this laptop? If so, you should contact HP Service center for a replacement.

The laptop, battery and AC adapter are all matched for best performance when sold from HP.

Regards,

Louis

I saw this once with my Omen. My solution was making sure the cable from the wall was securely plugged into the brick. Odd, I know, but it seemed to work for me.

Also ensure your BIOS is up to date.

If that doesn't help, @dectech's suggestion is the next best step. 🙂
