@Disgyrost4793 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are getting BitLocker error

Do not worry. I will try to help you.

BitLocker is a Microsoft software designed to protect your PC against offline attacks, unauthorized access typically if your PC gets stolen. BitLocker is full disk encryption software. More info:

BitLocker was activated by someone on this PC and during the activation time it prompts the user to save/store the key in a safe place.

If this is company owned asset/device, you should turn to your company's IT support guys and they should be able to provide you with the recovery key

If this is your own personal device, and if you don't know your recovery key, most probably you use a slightly different BitLocker version for certain PCs and tablets known as Device encryption. Your key might be stored in Microsoft OneDrive with your Microsoft account here :

More info >> https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2015/12/microsoft-may-have-your-encryption-key-heres-...

Try these and let me know if you manage to find the key.

If you don't find your key, there is no way to unlock the data on the hard disk drive and you will need to format it and reimage/reinstall Windows.

Hello!
You did not understand me at all. I want to do hardware encryption so I don't lose performance. And when I try to encrypt the operating system drive, I get an error after reboot. The error says the module TPM was not found. Although the module is included and works without problems with software encryption. Most likely the error lies in the fact that your BIOS for this laptop model has an error. I put the last BIOS if that.

Can you solve the problem?

I understand your concerns.

In that case, I would suggets you conatct our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Have a nice day!!
