Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-d0000 (2V8V3AV)

Hello so I have a Victus by HP Laptop 16-d0169tx

And it is starting to have higher temperatures. I cleaned the fans and I was thinking of cleaning the heatsink vents. But I would have to repaste the thermal paste if I removed the heatsink. So I want to know what thermal paste HP puts in stock from the factory. And is there a way to purchase it? Or alternatives.

Thank You

Hi @Aiiii,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

HP typically uses a standard thermal paste in their laptops, which is usually a silicone-based paste or a similar generic thermal compound. Unfortunately, We don't offer specific stock thermal paste for purchase directly from us.

For replacing the thermal paste, you can use high-quality aftermarket options. Some popular thermal paste brands include.

  1. Arctic MX-4: Known for its excellent thermal conductivity and ease of application.
  2. Noctua NT-H1: Well-regarded for its performance and longevity.
  3. Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut: A high-performance paste used in high-end builds.

These alternatives are widely available from electronics retailers or online stores. When applying new thermal paste, make sure to clean the old paste thoroughly and apply a thin, even layer of the new paste.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
