I have realized my laptop's battery has swollen over the course of few days and it also damaged my screen by pressurizing it while I carry it around. However I didn't see any change with the battery life and charge duration. How should I proceed now? Can I replace it at home? If not, do they wipe harddisks even if they only fix battery and screen problems in the HP service?
I have moved out from my old flat and now I do not have unlimited access to internet, it'd be really inconvinient for me to gather up all the files for my thesis and other projects, as well as my music/photos/videos.
