The touchpad on my HP Victus 15-fa2056ns isn’t working. I’ve installed Windows 11 and updated all the drivers, but it still doesn’t work.

 If you're experiencing issues with the touchpad on your HP Victus 15-fa2056ns Laptop, here is a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the problem:
 

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the computer.
  • Disconnect the AC adapter.
  • Remove any connected peripherals.
  • Press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the AC adapter and turn on the computer.

Device manager

  • Go to device manager
  • Click on audio inputs and outputs
  • Speakers.
  • Click on right click and uninstall and restart the system and check.

 Conduct Hardware Diagnostics Test

  • Test in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI:
  • Turn off the computer and hold the power button for 5 seconds for it to shutdown.
  • Turn it on and immediately press esc repeatedly until a menu appears. Press f2 for diagnostics.
  • Select Component Tests, then Mouse/Touchpad, and follow on-screen instructions to test the hardware.

Software Reset

  1. Perform a Windows System Reset:
  2. If the issue persists, consider performing a system reset which reinstalls the operating system. Ensure that you back up all important files before proceeding.
