Hi @GAMERX1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
The issue you're describing with your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec0100AX (touchpad stuttering or lagging only while charging) is a problem that can be caused by electrical grounding issues, charger interference, or touchpad shielding faults.
What You Can Try
1. Use a 3-Prong Grounded Charger
- If your current charger has only 2 pins, try using a 3-pin grounded HP charger.
- This often resolves grounding-related touchpad issues.
2. Try Charging from a Different Power Source
- Plug into a different wall outlet in another room or building.
- Avoid using extension cords or surge protectors temporarily.
3. Update BIOS and Touchpad Drivers
- Go to your model’s support page:
👉 HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0100ax Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support - Install the latest:
- BIOS update
- Touchpad driver (Synaptics or ELAN)
- Chipset driver
4. Disable Touchpad While Charging (Workaround)
- If the issue persists, you can temporarily disable the touchpad while charging and use your Bluetooth mouse.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
