I have a very serious issue with my trackpad i have a hp pavilion 15 gaming laptop with ryzen 5 4600h. The issue is when I plugged In my laptop to the external power the trackpad moves erraticaly and not responding to my finger when i place my finger gently on touchpad cusor moves up and down on its own and when i place myn laptop on a wooden table touchpad beacame unresponsive at all WHEN I REMOVE THE EXTERNAL POWER IT JUST WORKS EXCELLENTLY and ehn i again plugged in the external power it again happens i dont really what the issue is but on internet i found that this the GROUNDING issue but i dont if thats the issue with my laptop and how to resolve it I am using HP GENUINE ADAPTER AND I BOUGHT IT JUST A FEW DAYS AGO ITS A BRAND NEW SO WHY THIS HAPPENS and kindly give the SOLUTION of it THANKS!!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the cursor moves erratically when you connect the charger.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

Have you tried a different power outlet?

 

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

If you continue facing the issue, then uninstall the touchpad driver from the device manager and then download and install it from the below link.

I appreciate your help but UNFORTUNATELY it does not work i have installed both updates for BIOS as wll as for TOUCHPAD but it still moves erratically and when using two fingers to scroll up or down it does not work as soon as i REMOVE EXTERNAL POWER it becomes very responsive and came back to normal i dont KNOW what the problem is but please help me in this regard.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer. 

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty.
