Hi @BKVK

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If you are unable to find the Advanced option in the BIOS setup on your OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-wd000, it could be due to the BIOS interface being simplified to avoid unintended changes that might affect system stability. Here are some steps you can take:

Accessing BIOS Settings:

  • Restart your laptop.
  • As soon as it starts booting, repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup.

OEM BIOS Setup:

  • The BIOS settings in HP OMEN laptops are designed to allow users only to access settings essential for boot management and hardware testing.
  • Advanced options are typically restricted to prevent system instability.

BIOS Update:

  • Ensure your BIOS is updated to the latest version, as some BIOS updates can change available settings.
  • You can download the latest BIOS version from the HP Support website specific to your laptop model.

HP Support Assistance:

  • If you need an option in the BIOS that is not visible, consider reaching out to HP support. They might assist you with possible configurations or clarify whether certain settings are accessible.

Control through Software:

  • For certain advanced configurations, HP might provide control through software utilities like OMEN Gaming Hub or other management applications.

HP often limits BIOS accessibility to prevent users from making changes that could cause hardware or performance problems, especially in gaming laptops optimized for performance.
