Hi all,

When I purchased this laptop the page did say the RAM was upgradeable.

Is anyone well versed in whether I can upgrade this from 16gb to 32gb Dual channel RAM.

If so do I need to do it through HP or can I do an after market upgrade myself?

Will I need any additional software should I upgrade, any limits on the RAM speed ETC?

Overall advice and solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your responses in advance.

Hi @danm5411

It supports 32 GB of ram type DDR5-5600, the upgrade can be done by yourself I leave the service manual and see the steps there, no additional software is needed.

Hi, Thank you for your response. Couple of additional questions if you don't mind.

I would be correct in assuming it allows for dual channel 2x16gb DDR5-5600 ram? Brand not being an issue?

Secondly, confirmation that if I upgrade my RAM myself that it will not void any warranty?

HP Recommended

It does work in dual channel, and the brand is not important, but well-known brands such as Crucial Adata, Samsung Kingston or others are recommended.

Warranty is a controversial issue, generally when the device is opened it must not be damaged and the device must be delivered as it was sold to make use of the warranty, I can not guarantee that HP will not invalidate the warranty, because they can argument that the device was opened and damaged.
