I know im probably one of the las guys out there still using a HP Dv6000 model laptop but this computer has served me well and it even has upgraded to windows 10 pro for free, applause to microsoft.
But here is my question, i want to upgrade the cpu and at the moment it has the
intel core 2 duo t5450 ( 1.66Ghz )
and wanted to know if the socket ppga 478 will work and support a
intel core 2 duo t7800 (2.60Ghz) OR intel core 2 duo t9500 (2.60Ghz)
Thank you for your time and soon to be seen reply!

I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv6700 Notebook and questions with changing the CPU. Here is a link that is to your service manual for part numbers that will work with your system page 88. The CPU has to match the motherboard specs. You might need to change the Motherboard to have it work correctly and this can be more expensive than a new computer.
