My computer came with two storage drives a 512 GB PCle NVme TLC M.2 SSD for my main operating C Drive and a 1 TB PCle NVme TLC M.2 SSD for my secondary D Drive. I needed to open up the back of my computer to clean my CPU and GPU fans (as you can notice in the picture there is a lot of build up of dust around both fans), and noticed that there was a SATA drive that looked to be operating as it was connected. However, I have no idea what this drive is used for and was wondering what I can do to upgrade my internal storage. If I could put a 4TB SSD SATA drive and replace whatever this SATA drive is doing or be able to replace my secondary 1TB PCle NVme TLC M.2 SSD with a 2TB PCle NVme TLC M.2 SSD if my computer is capable of fitting and operating a 2TB PCle NVme TLC M.2 SSD? If I didn't clarify it well enough or if you need more details please let me know and I'll try my best to better explain my question. Thanks and please refer to image provided.

My main question was what the SATA drive in the picture that I took is doing for my computer since my only two operating storages are coming from the two M.2 SSD drives that I have. If it's not being used or is being used, can I replace it by upgrading my storage with a SSD SATA drive to have a third storage if that would work with my computer to have three drives. One 512 GB M.2 SSD, one 1TB M.2 SSD, and then a 4TB SSD SATA drive. My next question was can I replace the 1TB M.2 SSD drive and upgrade that to a 2TB M.2 SDD, and would a 2TB M.2 SSD fit and work in place of the factory 1TB M.2 SSD drive that is there. I've read all the manuals and found that they only talk about what laptops initially come with, I can't find anywhere that talks about upgrading storage. So that's my main question that I would like to find out is what can I do to upgrade my storage that would work with my computer and not cause issues, and what is the SATA drive doing that is installed on my computer right now? Thanks!
