What is the use of type c port in my laptop and can i charge my laptop using type c port

It has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port. Mainly, you can use it to

 

  • Transfer data,
  • Connect to USB-C monitor(s),
  • Charge other devices (even when it sleeps),

You can't use it to charge your machine.
