Hi @Pratheekreddy,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're encountering a serious error related to Secure Boot and the SBAT (Secure Boot Advanced Targeting) data on your HP Pavilion gaming laptop. This type of issue is often related to a problem with the system firmware or the Secure Boot settings.
Here are some steps you can try to resolve this:
Reset BIOS Settings:
- Restart your laptop and press Esc or F10 repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup.
- Look for an option to "Reset to Default" or "Load Optimal Defaults" and select it.
- Save and exit the BIOS.
Update BIOS:
- Check HP's website for the latest BIOS update for your laptop model.
- Follow the instructions provided to update the BIOS. Ensure you download the correct BIOS version for your specific model.
Check Secure Boot Settings:
- In the BIOS, navigate to the Secure Boot settings.
- Ensure Secure Boot is enabled. If it's disabled, enable it and save the changes.
- If Secure Boot is already enabled, you might try disabling it, saving the changes, and then re-enabling it.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Shut down the laptop.
- Disconnect all external devices and the power adapter.
- Hold down the power button for 15-20 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter and try starting the laptop again.
Check for System Integrity Issues:
- Boot into Windows (if possible) and run the System File Checker tool:
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
- Let the scan complete and follow any instructions to repair files.

Thank you, Gaya1239., for your help. I will try the BIOS update approach; meanwhile, I came across a temporary workaround which has gotten me around the problem in the meantime: I disable Secure Boot in the BIOS when I want to boot into Clonzilla to do my backup, then turn it back on when i'm done and am ready to boot into Windows. I suspect, however, that your suggestions are more likely to get at the root cause of the issue, so I will try them. Thanks again.

I have a solution for this issue as i have ran into it today myself. I was dual booting windows 11 and linux mint without any issues but after i had a windows update today, next time i booted my pc i had this error. What i did is very simple, i disabled the option to boot linux. Essentialy you cant have linux and windows 11 as boot options at the same time (at least in my case).

I also had this issue, currently disabled secure boot option in bios. Apparently I think with the new update, secure boot does not allow to boot linux as first boot option. Not 100% sure if this is the reason, but after I disabled secure boot I could get the dual boot option menu on startup.
