Hi @paaaavo12,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Internet connectivity issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Restart Your Router and Laptop:
- Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Restart both your router and your Victus laptop.
Check Wi-Fi Settings:
- Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your laptop. This can be done by checking the Wi-Fi icon in your system tray.
- Make sure the laptop is not in Airplane mode, which disables all wireless communication.
Update Network Drivers:
- Make sure your network drivers are up to date. You can do this by:
- Going to Device Manager.
- Expanding Network adapters.
- Right-clicking on your Wi-Fi adapter and selecting Update driver.
Forget and Reconnect Wi-Fi Network:
- In your Wi-Fi settings, select the problematic network and choose to Forget it. Then, try reconnecting with the correct password.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date, as updates can sometimes include fixes for known network issues.
Disable Power Saving:
- Sometimes power-saving settings can cause connectivity issues. To disable this:
- Go to Device Manager.
- Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter, select Properties.
- Under the Power Management tab, ensure “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” is unchecked.
Run Network Troubleshooter:
- Use Windows built-in network troubleshooter for diagnosis. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Internet Connections.
Check Router Settings:
- Ensure your router firmware is updated. Consult your router's manufacturer for instructions.
Check for Interference:
- Ensure there are no physical obstructions or interference near your laptop. Devices like microwaves, cordless phones, etc., can interfere with Wi-Fi signals.
I hope this helps.
