I'm getting really annoyed by a process with:

  • Title: [CustomNotification]CustomNotificationView

  • Path:
    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\AD2F1837.OMENCommandCenter_1101.2505.6.0_x64__v10z8vjag6ke6\OmenCommandCenterApp\OmenCommandCenterBackground.exe

This process always runs on startup, even though I’ve disabled OMEN Gaming Hub from starting with Windows in both Task Manager and Services.

The issue is:

  • It runs as a maximized window (confirmed via tools like WinLister)

  • But nothing is visible on screen

  • It doesn't appear in Alt+Tab or the System Tray

  • It causes Wallpaper Engine to pause, since it detects a fullscreen app

  • Also triggers Windows Focus Assist / Do Not Disturb mode

I’m looking for a way to permanently disable or remove this background process without breaking anything critical.
Is there a way to safely stop OmenCommandCenterBackground.exe from auto-launching?

P/s: If I go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > OMEN Gaming Hub > Advanced Options > Background App Permissions and set it to "Never", then the process no longer runs on startup — which fixes the problem temporarily. However, once I open OMEN Gaming Hub manually (e.g. to tweak Performance Control), the background process comes back — and the issue returns.

I had the same problem since yesterday. I hope they fix it soon. I don't use the app, so I uninstalled it.

I still need it to tweak performance mode, so I can’t uninstall it. Do you know any alternative programs for that? As a temporary fix, I disabled its background permission (to prevent it from auto-starting) and used Task Manager to end the OMEN Gaming Hub process once I finish tweaking performance. After that, Wallpaper Engine works properly again.
